Montreal, Québec – The 2017 race season will undoubtedly be one of the most captivating seasons for team Honda Ste-Rose Racing, with new challenges for their drivers and crew. The four Wittmer brothers all received well founded promotions in their racing programs including a fan favorite duel between two of them in Pirelli World Challenge!

After several championships in Canada, Karl Wittmer will be driving the Honda Ste-Rose Honda Accord in which his brother, Nick, won two races and finished third in the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) championship last year. The spectacular 54 car TC/TCA/TCB entry list twill certainly result in a huge battle for the top positions. “I can’t wait to start my first race in PWC. My two older brothers, Nick and Kuno, have raced in PWC for several years and it will be my duty to try and do better for myself, the team and my sponsors. I think we have the team to contend up-front, but I’m certainly aware of all the new entries and experienced drivers in PWC TC this year and fully understand it will be a challenge, one I am ready to take-on head first.” The team and car are ready to go racing and Karl can’t wait to start his new venture in PWC.

The objective for Karl will be to win one race along with several podiums. Testing at ViR last month got Karl comfortable with the car and at the same time encountering a new track. Hopefully he will be able to do battle with his older brother, Nick, who now runs a BMW with ST Racing alongside Samantha Tan. “We are happy for Nick moving on and in to a very competitive car and sad to have seen him leave, but we hope it will be a tight battle for the top spot with our Honda Accord V6,” mentioned team owner Patrik Wittmer.

The team would also like to thank their newest partner, Fuse Lenses, who have become their primary partner with the team for the 2017 season. “It’s always great to partner with a company like Fuse. They love racing and truly believe in helping the sport progress through their involvement. They are a great bunch of people at Fuse and hopefully we can make them proud this season and for seasons to come.” Noted team owner Patrik Wittmer.

Karl’s twin brother, Kurt, has moved into the top class of the Quebec championship Super Production Challenge (SPC) in Karl’s Honda Civic Si.

The oldest Wittmer brother, Kuno, will continue driving for BMW Motorsports in the North American Endurance championship, as well as participating in several VLN races in Germany and also the 24 Hours of Nurburgring.

The first two races of the PWC will take place at the awesome Virginia International Raceway Saturday and Sunday April 29 and 30th.
