Johan Schwartz returns to the Pirelli World Challenge Series in the factory built BMW M235i for the season’s final two races in the TC class, Oct 13-15 at Laguna Seca. He will compete for the AutoTechnic team based in New Milford, Conn. “This team has brought their ‘A’ game all season,” says Schwartz “I look forward to helping them finish the season out strong.”

Schwartz has highlighted BMW in the majority of his major racing events this season. A BMW Factory Instructor at the BMW Performance Center in Greer, S.C. and World Record setter in a BMW M5 for the longest drift, Schwartz also raced a BMW 2002Tii in this year’s Royal Pro-Am Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix.

Schwartz won the 2015 Pirelli World Challenge TCB Championship and set several records for Chevrolet in the same season with TechSport. This season,Schwartz has been busy coaching TC drivers Robert Nimkoff with AutoTechnic and Jason Coupal with Berg Racing. Schwartz got behind the wheel of Nimkoff’s BMW during test day at COTA a few weeks ago, the same car he will race at Laguna. “The car handled well and I am excited to go into race mode,” Schwartz observed.” Since Robert Nimkoff is not going to attend the season finale, he graciously asked me to drive his car, and I am honored to be able to drive his car in this race.”

Besides the support from AutoTechnic, Schwartz also is supported by his loyal sponsors: CAS Group, Instrumart, Diamond Creek, and Scimentis.
