Webster, NY – After celebrating two podium finishes at Lime Rock Park just four weeks ago, BERG Racing heads to Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin for Touring Car rounds seven and eight of the 2016 Pirelli World Challenge Championships, a doubleheader weekend featuring both Pirelli World Challenge and Indycar — sure to provide a thrilling weekend to race fans around the 4.048 mile road course.

Following a successful test at Watkins Glen International, the three BERG Racing Mazda MX-5 Touring Cars of John Weisberg (#5 TC), Dinah Weisberg (#50 TC) and Jay Salinsky (#16 TCA) will return to action at Road America with high hopes of continued success.

2016-06-22-berg-1“Coming off of an exciting weekend at Lime Rock Park, we are eager to repeat our success at Road America,” said John Weisberg, BERG Racing team owner. “Two podiums in two races and a Cadillac Move of the Race award give BERG Racing plenty of momentum going into Elkhart Lake.”

Despite the long, high-speed straightaways of Road America, the flowing nature of the racetrack should suit the REDCOM / PHU Concepts / FUSE Lenses Mazda MX-5’s well.

“I’m fairly confident of our competitiveness at Road America,” said Weisberg. “We’re excited to debut mechanical and aerodynamic updates to the #5 and #50 REDCOM Labs TC MX-5’s, including a new engine in the #5 car. We’re looking forward to a great weekend, as we all consider Road America a favorite!”

Touring car rounds seven and eight of the 2016 Pirelli World Challenge Championships can be viewed Thursday and Friday, June 23 and 24 on world-challenge.com/streamvideo.
