Malta, Montana — With reaching the podium on 3 separate occasions while never falling out of the top five during the first half of the season, the team was very happy with Seguin’s consistent driving which has him sitting only 56 pts back in the TCA driver championship. Team owner Dennis Ost from a small town in north central Montana made some big moves during the mid-season break to help improve the chances of bringing home a championship for the team’s good friend Kevin who is 1 of 75 people worldwide diagnosed with RRM2B, a disease that burns 50% of all calories/proteins/carbohydrates/etc causing the body to be in constant starvation mode and not allowing to nutrients needed from foods for proper muscle/tissue growth and to weight gain.
The first of the big moves was basing the team out of a world class track side facility, Calabogie Motorsports Park, which neighbors Canada’s capital where most of the Team Ost Racing’s crew members reside. The other big improvement was purchasing the last IMSA Continental Tire Sportscar Challenge ST Civic from Compass 360 Racing which won 3 races last season with 9 starts on this chassis. The team took full advantage of their new facility and converted the No. 39 Honda into a competitive Pirelli World Challenge TCA platform.
“I can tell you first hand that the team worked tirelessly the past few weeks to give me a great car to contend for the driver championship and after testing it on track this past Sunday, I am confident they have done so” complemented driver Patrick Seguin.
When asked how he liked being a part of Team Ost Racing, here is what Kevin had to say; “I really enjoy being a part of the team and appreciate all they’ve done. The races are great and I feel lucky to go to them”
Team Ost Racing is carrying great momentum into the second half of the Pirelli World Challenge season with their 3rd place finish in Round 9 at Road America and are looking forward to measuring up their new Honda with the help of HPD to the rest of the field at Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course this weekend.
