TORONTO – There is no place like home. As Canadian Tire Motorsport Park prepares to stage the annual Victoria Day SpeedFest this weekend, R. Ferri RACING WITH FERRARI has high hopes for a very big event.

The team will be back in Pirelli World Challenge race action this weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and the team looks to continue its winning ways with the No. 61 R. Ferri RACING WITH FERRARI Ferrari 458 GT3 and driver Olivier Beretta.

The race is a home event for the team, which is based just down the road in Toronto and carries the tradition of Ferrari GT racing to new levels with its Pirelli World Challenge campaign.

Not only is the race the home event for the race team, the Mosport weekend will also see the headliner event named the “Remo Ferri Group Canadian Grand Prix presented by Replay XD,” in honor of the full portfolio of brands that are offered from the group in dealerships from Montreal to Calgary.

Once the home of the Canadian Grand Prix Formula 1 event, the 2.459-mile, 10-turn permanent road course is one that requires equal measures of courage, commitment, and accuracy, with sweeping turns that drop out of sight for the drivers, making for new challenges every lap.

The team has had a strong presence in the Pirelli World Challenge championship fight since making a winning start to the season in the first race of the year at the Circuit of the Americas, and backing that up with victories in the Grand Prix of St. Pete and on the streets of Long Beach.

The team will look to make the most out of the event and reclaim the championship lead at the end of the weekend.

“This championship is very competitive with some strong teams and very good drivers,” said Beretta. “I like Mosport, it is the home track for Remo (Ferri) and for the team. I have won there in a yellow car and I would love to win in a red one. The Ferrari is my favorite car. I am not just saying that because I am a Ferrari driver. Since I was a kid, I’ve always dreamed of Ferrari. They are a great company with great road cars as well, and to race a Ferrari is something that is very special in my career.”
