New Braunfels, TX  – Fifteen-year-old wheelman Parker Chase will close out the 2016 Pirelli World Challenge season this weekend with GTS Round 18 and 19 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, CA.

Outside of six months racing a Spec Miata, this year marked Chase’s entry into sportscar racing after five years of experience in racing karts and open wheel cars. Chase has earned an impressive seven podium finishes in his rookie season driving the No. 19 Alta Towers / Enertech Resources Ginetta G55 GT4. His consistent speed and ability to race to the front have placed him third position of the GTS Driver’s Championship.

Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is an 11-turn, 2.238-mile road course known for the infamous “corkscrew” turn. The corkscrew features a drastic elevation change and drops 59 feet between the entrance and exit, the equivalent of a 5-story drop. Chase will race the No. 19 Ginetta G55 GT4 in GTS Rounds 18 and 19 before switching to the No. 29 Ginetta G55 GT4 where he will share driving duties with teammate Harry Gottsacker to run the final race of the weekend, SprintX Round 6.

“This season has been great,” said Chase. “Laguna Seca is the first track on the schedule I have actually raced at before so I am really looking forward to this weekend. It is a little bittersweet ending my first professional season, I can’t believe what we’ve accomplished since Circuit of the Americas. I have to thank Ginetta for allowing me the opportunity to represent them this season and Performance Motorsports Group for preparing me such a great car every weekend. I also want to thank Viking Communications for coming on-board to help us finish off the year strong. ”
