Ledgewood, NJ – Heinlein Racing Development is proud to announce its debut in the Pirelli World Challenge TCR class racing in 2018. HRD will be campaigning three Volkswagen GTI TCR cars for the full season. The HRD driver line up consists of Dwight Merriman from New York, NY, Michael Hurczyn and Nate Vincent—both representing FCP Euro—from Milford, CT.
Dwight Merriman is taking on the challenge of professional touring car racing after years of club racing and a successful campaign in the US Radical Cup last year. Michael and Nate are piloting the two remaining GTI TCRs that are the fruits of a partnership between FCP Euro and HRD for the season. FCP Euro is entering their own cars this year after a successful sponsorship of the Rooster Hall Racing M235iR with PWC Rookie of the Year, Anthony Magagnoli, at the wheel. FCP Euro is an online retailer of Genuine, OE, and OEM auto parts for European cars, specializing in Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Volvo, Mercedes, and Porsche parts, and is making their professional racing debut in 2018. Also partnering with FCP Euro for the season is LIQUI MOLY, 034Motorsport, and Sachs Performance.
Founder and principal of HRD, Tivadar Heinlein has been providing top-tier race logistics for front-running teams for over a decade, receiving the honor of the “Zimmermann Cup” in 2005 and winning the PWC GT Championship in 2006. HRD is proud to provide expert-level race car builds, race prep, set-up, engineering, race support, transport, and storage services in the northeast. “It’s time for us to be back in Pro-Racing under our own HRD banner,” states Tiv Heinlein. He continues, “We are already in high gear prepping for the season, bringing together a blend of well-respected, veteran team members and some young and enthusiastic people to create the right balance for a successful season”.
