New Braunfels, TX – Successful kart driver Harry Gottsacker will make his Pirelli World Challenge debut this weekend at Barber Motorsports Park with Chase Racing and Performance Motorsports Group. Gottsacker will pilot the No. 29 Performance Motorsports Group Ginetta G55 GT4 in GTS Rounds 5 and 6.
Gottsacker began his racing career at age 13 and was quickly signed as a factory driver by Intrepid North America. Karting both nationally and internationally, Gottsacker has earned the title of 2014 WKA Daytona Road Race Champion and 2015 Texas ProKart Challenge DD2 Champion before he could legally drive a street car. Now age 16, he is prepared to take on a new challenge and see how his skills and speed translate to sports car racing.
Teaming up with Performance Motorsports Group led by Stuart Robinson and Ginetta Factory driver Parker Chase of Chase Racing, Gottsacker hopes to get up to speed quickly in a car he has little familiarity with.
“I’m really excited to race in Pirelli World Challenge,” said Gottsacker. “I have had limited seat time in the Ginetta so I hope to get more familiar with the car during the test sessions and practice so I can be competitive for the races. Thanks to Ginetta, Performance Motorsports Group and Chase Racing for the opportunity and support.”
Immediately after the checkered flag flies over GTS Round 6 Gottsacker will travel to New Orleans and then to Phoenix for karting competitions.
Gottsacker will also compete in the Red Bull Global Rallycross Lites series with teammate Parker Chase and Performance Motorsports Group.
