Kennesaw, GA – GTSport Racing found success among struggle during Rounds 3 and 4 of the Pirelli World Challenge on the Streets of St. Petersburg March 27-29, 2015.

Jack Baldwin, of Marietta, GA, entered the weekend as a two-time champion on the Streets of St. Petersburg and hopeful to capture another victory in his No. 73 GTSport Racing Porsche Cayman S. Round 3 brought 50 minutes of green flag racing and Baldwin was able to battle his way to the fourth position after multiple competitors dropped out of the race due to mechanical issues. Baldwin claimed the Invisible Glass Clean Pass Award for his brilliant outside pass for fourth. Baldwin qualified and finished Round 4 in the ninth place.

“I have to thank my team for delivering me a well handling Porsche Cayman S,” said Baldwin. “We are struggling a little bit with the current regulations but I am confident that it will be worked out. I drove hard, Race 1 was fun and I had a great battle with the Kias and was able to stick a few key passes thanks to my StopTech brakes. Race 2 was unfortunate as I had a great car but don’t have the power some of my competitors have. My hat is off to my teammate Buz for an awesome weekend. We are looking forward to Barber.”

Buz McCall, of Boca Raton, FL, had a brilliant weekend in his No. 72 GTSport Racing Porsche Cayman S. McCall qualified for Round 3 in 19th position and battled his way to take the checkered flag in the 16th spot. Round 4, also known as “The Buz McCall Show”, brought a brilliant and clean battle between McCall and Preston Calvert. The two competitors were locked in an intense battle and swapped positions for the majority of the race. McCall put the pedal down coming out of the last turn and edged out Calvert by just four-tenths of a second to capture thirteenth position. McCall was awarded the Invisible Glass Clean Pass Award and the Sunoco Hard Charger Award for most positions gained.

“I had a great race Saturday,” said McCall. “I am still unfortunately down on power with the current Balance of Performance that we have, The Porsche Cayman S was great, the StopTech brakes were great and fans love seeing the Porsche compete. I look forward to Barber.”

Next stop for the Pirelli World Challenge GTS Class is Barber Motorsports Park on April 24-26, 2015.
