BOWMANVILLE, Ont. – This weekend, Flying Lizard Motorsports is┬ácompeting at┬áCanadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) with the Pirelli World Challenge.

Rounds five and six of the Pirelli World Challenge take place this weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and drivers Rodrigo Baptista and Nate Stacy will pilot the No. 3 and No. 14 Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MRs. Both young drivers showed continued progress and gained speed throughout the double header event earlier this month at VIRginia International Raceway, but attrition ended the weekend early for the pair.

“Our cars have been quick all season, and our guys are happy with the car setup, but we just haven’t been able to put together the finish we are used to seeing,” said Law. “The layout of CTMP should really suit the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR. We are strong when we have flowing, high speed corners, and this being a technical track should suit our drivers well. Both Rodrigo and Nate have the ability to run up front, so we are really looking forward to our chances here.”

Flying Lizard is currently tied for fourth in the GTS Team Championship, while Baptista and Stacy sit fifth and eigth in the GTS Driver Championship. For Baptista, this weekend will be his first time on track at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

“From what I’ve seen, it’s a challenging track,” said Baptista. “It looks super-fast, and I like it. It’s a new track for me, but I’ve been doing laps on the simulator, so let’s see how I will perform. I’m looking forward to doing my best.”

Stacy is no stranger to the Canadian track, having won here early in his career, and earning another podium in 2016.

“I’ve been on the simulator driving and watching videos online of the track nonstop,” said Stacy. “I also think that we made a lot of progress at the last race, and expect to be much quicker at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. CTMP is a very special track to me, as it is where I got my first win at 14 years old in the B spec category. I also finished third here last year, so I’m excited to see what this year holds!”

Flying Lizard Motorsports currently holds four podium finishes at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park dating back to the American Le Mans Series (2004, 2006, 2010, 2013). Races five and six of the Pirelli World Challenge GTS Championshp will run Saturday, May 20, and Sunday, May 21. For schedule information, visit
