Phil Fogg Jr. opened Race 1 at Barber Motorsports Park from fourth on the grid after qualifying with a fast lap time of 1:36.895-seconds.
The No. 18 Zoro Racing Porsche finished fifth in the 29-lap race which marked Round 6 of the 2015 Pirelli World Challenge championship and set his fastest lap of the race with a time of 1:29.592-seconds.
When the grid was set for Race 2, Phil Fogg Jr. lined up fourth for the 50-minute race.
Race 2 saw two caution periods which included a lengthy one for a car fire mid-way through the race. When the race went back to green, there were just sixth minutes remaining and Phil Fogg defended against sixth place to finish fifth at the checkered flag.
Zoro Racing will next be in action May 15-17 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
CBS Sports Network will televise the Barber Motorsports Park event on May 3 at 2:00 PM ET.
Phil Fogg, Jr. Race 1: “It was good to have a clean race and put on a good show for the fans here at Barber Motorsports Park. The race itself was a bit frustrating for me because I was caught up in GTA traffic which hindered me from getting to run my own race with my class. But all in all, it was a good top-five for the Zoro car and we’re looking forward to seeing what we can do in Race 2 tomorrow.”
Phil Fogg, Jr. Race 2:” Barber is the best track I’ve ever been to. It is beautiful and really fun to drive. It was great to bring home another fifth place finish for Zoro but we’re looking for more. We had the pace today to run with the front runners, but the GTA traffic hindered us again a bit today. I’m looking forward to our next race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park – I’ve been there many times and I’m excited to see what we can do there.”
Tyler Tadevic, TruSpeed Autosport Team Owner: “It was a good weekend and we’re glad to roll the car onto the trailer in good shape. It’s too bad that the driver talent level is so varied that our race has to be affected by cars that should be much faster than we are in GT Cup. Kudos to the Kelly Moss guys and Colin (Thompson) for the win here today – we’re hoping to bring the fight to them pretty soon. Thank you to Zoro Racing for their support – we’re looking forward to heading to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park next.”
