Spectacular race weekend provided excellent opportunity to celebrate home race with corporate guests near the cybersecurity company’s Southern California location

Long Beach, Calif. — The Long Beach Grand Prix is regarded as one of the most festival-like race atmospheres across all motorsports events in North America. From April 13 to 15, CrowdStrike, the California-based cybersecurity company, was fully immersed in the fun on the streets of this coastal city. George Kurtz, CEO and co-founder of CrowdStrike, participated in the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) GT4 Invitational race with a Global Motorsports Group (GMG)-prepared Audi R8 LMS GT4 during a weekend of entertainment, networking and hospitality for CrowdStrike’s corporate guests.

As CrowdStrike has offices in both Southern and Northern California, the Long Beach event was celebrated as a home race for the company. CrowdStrike’s guests included company employees, key executives of the CrowdStrike Advisory Board, Southern California clients and sponsors, LaSalle Solutions, AWS and Ceramic Pro. Guests were invited to participate in the festivities throughout the weekend, which kicked off with a driving experience at the Porsche Experience Center. The opportunity to test their mettle with a selection of Porsche sportscars before being served a gourmet dinner bred friendly competition between business associates and gave them a taste of the weekend to come.
The main event for everyone was the celebrated Long Beach Grand Prix, which began in earnest with a full day of racing on Saturday. On Sunday morning, Kurtz participated, driving the No. 04 CrowdStrike/GMG Racing Audi R8 LMS GT4 along with a small selection of other GTA and GTSA-class drivers who were invited to take part in the Pirelli World Challenge race. The PWC event was just one part of a stellar lineup of motorsports events, including the Verizon IndyCar Series and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Challenge. Dozens of guests cheered from trackside as Kurtz raced down Seaside Way and around the famous hairpin turn to complete the 50-minute event in grand style.
