Webster, NY – BERG Racing departs Rochester, NY for the journey to Round 1 of the 2016 Pirelli World Challenge Championships at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, one of North America’s premier motorsport entertainment facilities.
After a hectic final week of around-the-clock race preparation and final assembly, BERG Racing looks toward the beginning of the race season.
“BERG Racing is extremely excited to get the 2016 racing season underway,” said John Weisberg, IMSA Lites Champion and team owner/driver of the #5 Mazda MX-5 TC class entry. “We’re looking forward to racing our trio of Mazdaspeed MX-5’s on track at COTA.”
Additionally, BERG Racing will run the #50 MX-5 TC class entry for Dinah Weisberg, Executive Vice President of REDCOM Laboratories and wife to John, as well as the #16 MX-5 TCA class entry for Dr. Jared Salinsky of Trinity, Florida.
REDCOM specializes in the development of Advanced IP communications solutions and softswitches for Emergency Response, Defense, Oil & Gas Industry, and Telephone Carrier applications worldwide. “As a small, nimble and reliable company, we can enable secure and seamless communications between disparate technologies such as Radio and IP, creating an Essential Communications Solution.”
REDCOM EMS, a division of REDCOM Laboratories, offers contract manufacturing and Electronics Manufacturing Services and custom manufacturing to Engineering Services companies and OEMs.
“I can’t wait to make our 2016 team debut on the track at Circuit of the Americas,” said Dinah Weisberg. “This first race in Texas is an important weekend for our title partner, REDCOM Laboratories. Racing is a sport demanding focus, and if we focus on track, we should deliver a great result for BERG Racing, and generate exposure for REDCOM and all of our great partners!”
BERG Racing’s newest client, Dr. Jared Salinsky, driver of the #5 MX-5 TCA class entry, is equally thrilled. “I’m extremely excited to represent BERG Racing, Regenexx Cayman and Fuse Lenses at Circuit of the Americas. We’ve been working on this program for some time, and it’s great to see it come to fruition.”
Jared, however, is no stranger to success at COTA. “Last year I earned a ‘hard charger award’ with a 5th place finish in the TCB class, so naturally I’d love to continue the momentum this year in TCA with BERG Racing in the #16 car!”
BERG Racing’s 2016 Pirelli World Challenge season kicks off at Circuit of the Americas on Friday, March 4th. The entire race weekend can be streamed live online at http://world-challenge.com/streamvideo/.
