FCP Euro’s Nate Vincent made history with the first official TCR street course practice session in the US at this weekend’s TC America rounds in St. Petersburg, Fla. Vincent piloted the #72 Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR to a fast lap of 1:22.103.
FCP Euro teammate Michale Hurczyn, in the #71 Volkswagen, claimed a fast lap of 1:22.124, while Risi Competizione’s James Walker took the #34 Alfa Romero Giulietta TCR through the circuit for a fast lap of 1:24.503.
The #47 Alphasonic Motorsports Audi Sport RS3 LMS machine, driven by Alain Lauziere, posted the quickest lap among DSG-equipped machines with a 1:24.133 best. Bryan Putt drove the #15 eEuroparts.com ROWE Racing DSG toa best lap of 1:24.237, while McCann Racing driver Christian Cole followed just behind with a 1:24.555 lap.
TCR, TCR Cup and TCA competitors hit the streets for Practice session 2 at 4:10 pm EST on Friday.
