Andrew brought home two Championship trophies: the SARRC Championship, and V8Stockcars GTA Championship. His success no doubt was due to comprehensive driver coaching from close friend and experienced international racing driver, Mikey Taylor, as well as a professionally organized and highly talented crew supporting all of his efforts. Crew Chief, and Alabama Auto Racing Pioneers Hall of Famer, Lee Hurley, lead the technical side of 2014’s successful efforts, and is slated to play a role in the team’s 2015 plans.

PWC’s growth has been tremendous recently, and we’re honored to work with the great staff at SCCA Pro and PWC. I have to thank Mikey Taylor for his hard work this off-season, both working on the cars and establishing long-term strategic partnerships for our team. His network within Volkswagen community has been invaluable.” – Team Manager, Driver Andrew Rains

“It is great to be a part of this new project with Rains Racing, and help to build it from the ground up. Andrew and I share several similarities, one of which is our tremendous ambition. For me, there was no other option when looking at which series to move the team up to for the 2015 season, and when the opportunity arose to run a pair of Volkswagens, I just couldn’t say no! It is fantastic to be back in Volkswagen group racecar, which I know so very well. What is even more exciting for me to see is that we are creating a very solid base for growth in the future, whether this leads us to other classes or forms of racing, only time will tell. But for now we are focused fully on the 2015 season ahead.” – VW Program Manager, Driver Mikey Taylor

Rains Racing is looking forward to competing in the PWC season-opening round at Circuit of the America’s in Austin, Texas March 6-8 2015.
