“Road America is my favorite racetrack, and as always, it lived up to my expectations last weekend when I competed in two Pirelli World Challenge GT Cup races there.
For the first time this season we got the car to handle the way we wanted, and I qualified second for Race 1 (which tied our best qualifying effort previously this season). I just wasn’t ready for it, because I’ve gotten used to a poor handling car all season. It took me 13 laps to really figure it out, and by the end of the race I was the quickest Cup car. It was a missed opportunity for sure in Race 1, but the whole team was happy with the progress we made and more excited for the next race than ever.”
