Lakeville, Conn. – Alvaro Parente, Martin Fuentes and Sloan Urry won poles for GT, GTA Round 10 and GT Cup Round 9, respectively for the Pirelli World Challenge Grand Prix of Lime Rock presented by Bentley. The 30-minute qualifying session was held under sunny, 83-degree weather conditions.

Alvaro Parente, in the No. 9 K-PAX Racing McLaren 650S, took the provisional pole with a 51.950. Running an identical lap time after Parente turned his lap, Andrew Palmer, in the No. 87 Bentley Team Absolute Bentley Continental GT3, will line up second.

As per the series rulebook, pole is then determined by the next fastest lap set by the two drivers tied. Parente’s next fastest lap was a 52.035 compared to Palmer’s 52.294. Patrick Long, in the No. 59 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R, qualified third with Kyle Marcelli, in the No. 2, CRP Racing Audi R8, in fourth. Johnny O’Connell, in the No. 3 Cadillac Racing ATS-V.R., rounded out the top five.

In GTA, Fuentes, driving the No. 07 Scuderia Corsa Hublot Underarmour Ferrari 458 Italia took pole with a lap of 52.449 over Frankie Montecalvo, in the No. 66 DIME Racing Dime R&D Mercedes AMG SLS GT3. Qualifying third was Michael Schein, in the No. 16 Wright Motorsports Porsche GT3-R.

The GT Cup class produced pole-sitter Urry, in the No. 22 TruSpeed Autosport Security National Mortgage/Avasis Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, who ran a quick time of 54.543 over Alec Udell, in the No. 17 GMG Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, in second and Corey Fergus, in the No. 00 Motorsports Promo Byers Porsche, US LED, Motul Porsche 911 GT Cup, in third.

Results are provisional until posted final. For Parente, it’s his third pole of the season, while Fuentes scores his seventh pole of the season. For Urry, it’s his fourth pole of the season, and fifth of his PWC career.
