Lakeville, Conn. – Alvaro Parente, Martin Fuentes, and Sloan Urry topped the charts in the GT, GTA and GT Cup practice in the Pirelli World Challenge Lime Rock Park Grand Prix Presented by Bentley. Weather conditions for the 40-minute session were 80 degrees and partly cloudy.

As the session started, it was Parente, in the No. 9 K-PAX Racing McLaren 650S, going fastest with a 53.013, with the circuit utilizing its uphill chicane. Parente then quickly lowered fast time to 52.572 ahead of Kyle Marcelli, in the No. 2, CRP Racing Audi R8, in second and Andrew Palmer, in the No. 87 Bentley Team Absolute Bentley Continental GT3.

In GTA, Michael Schein, in the No. 16 Wright Motorsports Porsche GT3-R, was fastest early while Alec Udell, in the No. 17 GMG Porsche 911 GT3 Cup was quickest of the GT Cup drivers early in the session at 55.087.

The session was brought to a stop very briefly at the 6-minute mark for a car that had gone off through turn 7. At the time, Parente was at the top of the GT time sheets ahead of teammate Austin Cindric, in the No. 6 K-PAX Racing McLaren 650S GT3, and Ryan Eversley, in the No. 43 RealTime Racing Acura/HPD/Red Line Oil/RealTime Acura TLX-GT.

In GTA, Schein’s lap of 53.938 was quickest ahead of points leader Martin Fuentes, driving the No. 07 Scuderia Corsa Hublot Underarmour Ferrari 458 Italia. In GT Cup, Udell led Urry, in the No. 22 TruSpeed Autosport Security National Mortgage/Avasis Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.

With the session back-underway, it was Adderly Fong, in the No. 88 Bentley Team Absolute Bentley Continental GT3, jumping to second quick at the 10-minute mark, ahead of Patrick Long, in the No. 58 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R.

In GTA, Fuentes then went quickest, with a 53.862 ahead of Frankie Montecalvo, in the No. 66 DIME Racing Dime R&D Mercedes AMG SLS GT3 while Udell held the point in GT Cup.

As the session continued, Marcelli, in his Audi, closed the gap on Parente, going second fastest about mid-way through the session with a lap of 52.735. In GTA, Schein took fast lap back at 53.843, as the top three GTA cars were separated by just two hundredths of a second.

The lap time trading continued in GTA, with Fuentes then lowering the class mark to 53.132 at the halfway mark in the practice session, while Parente still led in GT and Udell was fastest of the GT Cup field of spec Porsches.

With 15 minutes to go in the session, Michael Cooper, in the No. 8 Cadillac Racing Cadillac ATS-V.R., set the second fastest time behind Parente, and ahead of Marcelli in third, Fong in fourth and Long in fifth. as .758 seconds separated the top 13 GT cars at that point in the practice session.

The time sheets then changed ahead, as Fong went fastest of all, just .048 seconds over Long, who had temporarily gone to first, and Eversley, who leaped to third in the No. 43 Acura. Parente then answered back on his 24th lap of the session with 12 minutes to go, running a 52.159, to lead Fong, Long, Eversley and Cooper.

In GT Cup, Urry moved ahead of Udell for fastest lap with a time of 54.859 while reigning Pirelli World Challenge GT Champion Johnny O’Connell, in the No. 3 Cadillac Racing ATS-V.R., went to second overall with a lap at 52.254 behind Parente’s McLaren.

As the session came to a close, Parente was fastest of all at 52.159, just .095 seconds ahead of O’Connell, who was followed by Bentley teammates Palmer and Fong, with Long in fifth and Eversley sixth.

In GTA, Fuentes was fastest at 53.132 ahead of Schein and Montecalvo.

GT Cup saw Urry lead the way with Udell second in class.
