Kevin Krauss and Outlier/Scion Group #88 are on a mission… and that mission is to be a title contender in the 2016 Pirelli World Challenge Series.

Dedicated driver, Experienced Team and a Competitive Car = Championship Aspirations

In 2016, Kevin Krauss will be the lead driver in the #88 Outlier Racing/Scion Group #88 Porsche Cayman and will compete in the entire Pirelli World Challenge Series. This week’s season opener is at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas and Krauss is considered to be a front runner in the TC division.

Coming off a successful 2015 debut, this efficient and solid team is ready to compete in a full 2016 season with Outlier Racing/Scion Group. “I’m excited to return to the series on a full time basis”, said Krauss. The Fishers, Indiana resident helped debut the new team last year at the Road America round where he was able come away with a top ten finish despite the new car never having turned a wheel prior to that weekend. Krauss followed up that promising initial showing with a strong run at the Laguna Seca finale that included 3 top tens, two of which were top 5’s, making the decision to run full time in the series for 2016 a much
easier one.

“Last season, we intentionally ran a limited, ‘toe in the water’ season just to see how things went and if we could be competitive in the series, and would then decide how best to proceed after the season.” stated Krauss. “Since we were able to achieve some pretty good results in only a couple of race weekends, the choice to return to the Pirelli World Challenge Series in TC with our Porsche Cayman was a pretty easy one.”

Kevin has a wealth of experience to draw from to help propel this team to the front. He is not only the team’s lead driver, but also a principal in the team in charge of race operations. He is a well known and respected motorsports veteran and one of the highest rated automotive personalities in the United States. With over 25 years of practical racing experience as well as formal education (Business Management Degree), Krauss is a highly sought after racer, coach, driving instructor and automotive facilitator. Over the years, Kevin has provided his driving talent and instructional expertise to: The U.S. AMG/Mercedes Driving Academy, The Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving, The Miles Ahead Mini Cooper School at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Skip Barber Racing School, the Autobahn Country Club, and several of the world’s greatest automotive manufacturers along with an impressive private coaching clientele. His amiable and professional nature makes Kevin a mainstay in the U.S. motorsports and automotive landscape. He lives in Indianapolis with his wife Missy, and their family.

With the competition in the TC class always competitive, the outlier Racing/Scion Group have elected to run the Porsche Cayman. “We feel the Porsche gives us a solid platform to be competitive right out of the box. Plus it gives us that ‘window’ of adjustability to be competitive.” responded Kevin. “I’m very grateful to have the opportunity to not only compete for the championship this year, but to have helped build a new race team with my longtime friend, Rob Bronstein, the President of the Scion Group. Rob and I have known
each other for many years, and when he asked my advice on how he could best get further involved in motorsports, I was only too happy to help advise him. That was 2 years ago, and look where we are now. Very proud of what we’ve been able to achieve.”

Also for the duration of the 2016 campaign, Kevin Krauss will be supporting and promoting the Alyse Krauss Foundation, also known as Alyse’s Light. “This is a cause that is very near and dear to my heart as I established this foundation in memory of my daughter who died in August of 2014 due to head injuries she suffered in a car accident,” Krauss said. Very similar injuries to those suffered by fellow racers, Michael Schumacher, Jules Bianchi, and Justin Wilson.” She was 15 years old at the time. We are working with the Goodman‐Campbell NeuroScience group in Indianapolis to support head trauma research and recovery methods though the foundation. In consulting with my other daughters during the formation of the Alyse Krauss Foundation, we felt very strongly that if we could help even one family avoid going through the pain that we did when we lost Alyse, that we will have honored her appropriately.” Visit:

So look for Kevin Krauss and the Outlier/Scion Group this year running a full season in the Pirelli World Challenge Championship. After a successful debut in 2015, this driver and team are on a mission to win.
