The #3 K-PAX Racing Bentley co-piloted by Rodrigo Baptista and Maxime Soulet topped the charts in the first race of the 2019 Blancpain GT World Challenge event at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.

An early full course yellow as the result of the #63 Mercedes-AMG GT3 off track led to a red flag and ensured the track conditions were clear to get back to action on restart. Battles developed between P2 and P3 with Baptista and Soulet in the #3 Bentley Continental GT3 and the #22 Porsche 911 GT3 R, driven by Daniel Morad and Michael De Quesada.

The #9 K-PAX Racing Bentley of Andy Soucek and Alvaro Parente jumped into a good lead at the start of the race but after the red flag and restart, their teammates in the #3 machine finished the race strong and came out on top.

The Bentley sister cars, #3 and #9 have shown consistency all weekend and continued it into race one. K-PAX Racing has locked in the first ever win in a second generation Bentley Continental GT3.

Pro-Am winners of the first Blancpain GT World Challenge of America race goes to the #31 Ferrari 488 GT3 driven by Jeff Segal and Wei Lu. Segal and Lu continue their track assault into the new season after a successful 2018 together.

The 2018 Am Champions Martin Fuentes and Caeser Bacarella won the first race of the 2019 season in the #31 Ferrari 488 GT3. The defending champions have returned for the 2019 season and have been showing their compatibility in this first event weekend.

The action for round two of the Blancpain GT World Challenge America series starts tomorrow at 2:10 pm CST. All races are live streamed for free and available to watch in all countries.
