BMW M235iRs Set 9 of Top 10 Fast Laps in First Practice Session

Austin, Texas – Aristotle Balogh, piloting the No. 19 Stephen Cameron Racing BMW M235iR set the fast lap in the first official Practice session at the Pirelli World Challenge Grand Prix of Texas at COTA with a two-minute, 26.598-second lap time averaging 84.25 m.p.h. on the undulating 3.4-mile circuit. Teammate Greg Liefooghe, driving the No. 20 Stephen Cameron Racing BMW M235iR, followed with a 0.135-second slower fast lap of 2:26.733 (84.17 m.p.h.).

Third-place practice lap went to the No. 12 Winding Road Team TFB BMW driven by Mason Filippi, clocking in at 2:27.364 at 83.81 m.p.h.

The No. 80 Rooster Hall Racing BMW M235iR turned a 2:27.611 (83.67) lap time as driven by Anthony Magagnoli for the fourth-fastest circuit of the session.

Rounding out the top-five practice laps was Stefan Sajic in the No. 18 Zima Motorsports BMW M235iR, turning a 2:27.630 (83.66) lap time.

The second Touring Car Practice session is set for 12:00 p.m. CDT on Friday.
