Recent College Graduate Nicolai Elghanayan Wins GTS SprintX Overall Monday at Lime Rock Park in the KTM X-Bow

LAKEVILLE, Conn. – Two weeks ago, young Nicolai Elghanayan was accepting his college diploma at USC and learning the Lime Rock Park road circuit on his home simulator. On Monday, he put his education to work in winning the GTS SprintX 60-minute Round 5 race in the Pirelli World Challenge Grand Prix of Lime Rock powered by M.

Driving the No. 71 Marco Polo Motorsports KTM X-Bow, Elghanayan, the 22-year-old from Laguna Beach, Calif., started from the pole position and captured the Overall and Amateur classes at the tight 1.5-mile, seven-turn road course in northwest Connecticut.

Elghanayan, a former Lotus Cup star, defeated the team of Patrick Gallagher of Thornville, Ohio and Jade Buford of Nashville, Tenn., in the No. 55 PF Racing Ford Mustang GT4, who took top honors in the Pro/Am category Monday.

Third overall went to Am driver Drew Staveley of Salt Lake City, Utah, in the No. 12 Ian Lacy Racing Ginetta G55 followed by the Pro/Am team of No. 47 NOLASport Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR of Matt Travis of The Woodlands, Tex., and Jason Hart of Plano, Tex., and 18-year-old Harry Gottsacker of San Antonio, Tex., in the No. 69 Racers Edge Motorsports SIN R1 GT4.
