Pumpelly Runs Top GT SprintX Pro Practice Speed at Lime Rock Park; Segal Takes Ferrari to Pro/Am Practice Honors
LAKEVILLE, Conn. – Veteran Spencer Pumpelly of Atlanta, Ga., picked up right where he left off last year at Lime Rock Park in the GT SprintX class with a superb practice lap of 52.07 seconds Friday in the No. 24 Alegra Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R in the opening round of action for the Pirelli World Challenge Grand Prix of Lime Rock powered by M.
Pumpelly, who captured the Saturday 60-minute GT SprintX feature last year at Lime Rock Park, is teaming with veteran Porsche driver Michael Christensen of Denmark this weekend and the Georgia ace left little doubt he could be the one to beat again. Spencer clocked an average of 101.90 miles per hour for Friday’s top practice speed.
