ELKHART LAKE, Wis. — Kevin Estre, of Lochau, Austria and Michael Lewis, of Laguna Beach, Calif., set identical fast lap times in GT at Road America in Thursday’s 40-minute practice session, at the DeVilbiss Grand Prix at Road America presented by Cadillac. Bryan Heitkotter, of Fresno, Calif., was fastest in GTA, while Colin Thompson, of Doylestown, Pa, was fastest in GT Cup presented by MOMO.

Early on in the session, Mike Skeen, of Charlotte, N.C. in the No. 2 DeVilbiss/Hawk Performance Audi R8 LMS Ultra was fastest with a 2:06.516. Ryan Dalziel, of Windermere, Fla, in the No. 31 EFFORT Racing/Curb-Agajanian Porsche 911 GT3R was second fastest with a 2:07.821, while GTA driver Frank Montecalvo, of Highlands, N.J. in the No. 66 DragonSpeed Bayshore Racing Mercedes-Benz AMS SLS GT3 was fastest in class, and third overall, with a 2:07.891.

Dalziel then went to the top of the charts with a 2:06.508. Soon after, Dalziel’s teammate Lewis in the No. 41 EFFORT Racing/Curb-Agajanian Porsche 911 GT3R topped the charts with a 2:06.421.

The top five 31 minutes into the practice session were Lewis (2:06.421), Dalziel (2:06.508), Skeen (2:06.516), Estre (2:06.610), and Chris Dyson, of Pleasant Valley, N.Y., in the No. 16 Bentley/Breitling/Mobil1 Team Bentley Dyson Racing Bentley Continental GT3 (2:06.759).

In GTA, Heitkotter, in the No. 05 Nissan GT Academy GT-R Nissan GT-R GT3 went to the top of the charts in class at the 34-minute mark with a 2:07.672. 

At the 36-minute mark, Estre equalled Lewis’ time with a 2:06.421 and when the checked flew both shared top spot for fastest lap of the session.

In GT Cup presented by MOMO, Thompson set the early fast lap with a 2:12.357, a time that was not eclipsed during the session.
