LEXINGTON, Ohio — Ryal Dalziel, of Windermere, Fla., was fastest in Friday’s Pirelli World Challenge GT/GTA and GT Cup presented by MOMO practice session at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, part of the StopTech Mid-Ohio Grand Prix presented by MOMO. Frank Montecalvo, of Highlands, N.J. was fastest in GTA, while Colin Thompson, of Doylestown, Pa. was fastest in GT Cup presented by MOMO.
Thirty six drivers across the three classes took to the track for Friday’s late afternoon 30-minute practice session.
Dalziel, in the No. 31 EFFORT Racing/World PMO Porsche 911 GT3R posted the fastest GT lap with a 1:21.185. Montecalvo, in the No. 66 Bayshore Racing Mercedes-Benz AMG SLS GT3 posted the fastest GTA lap with a 1:21.628, which was fourth fastest overall. Thompson, in the No. 11 Porsche of Bucks County/Penn Valley Constructors/Sherwin Williams Automotive Finishes/Austin Hatcher Foundation Porsche 911 GT3 Cup was fastest in the GT Cup presented by MOMO class with a 1:25.582.
