NEW YORK – As the presenting sponsor of this weekend’s Lime Rock Grand Prix in Lakeville, Connecticut, Bentley Motors Inc. hosted an event in New York City earlier this week, that provided a unique perspective on speed with Bentley Team Absolute drivers Andrew Palmer and Adderly Fong.

On Wednesday evening, Bentley and Pirelli World Challenge guests and media were treated to a discussion with Palmer and Fong about what it means to live and operate in the finite window of high-speed performance. The drivers were joined by Bentley brand partner Breitling and its jet team pilots, who shared their thoughts and perception on the relativity of speed. The evening culminated in the world debut of the new Bentley Continental GT Speed ‘Black Edition.’

Earlier that day, Palmer and Fong had a rare opportunity to experience a different type of speed while flying with the Breitling Jet Team pilots out of Republic Airport in Farmingdale, New York. The drivers were taken up to altitudes of 15,000 ft. and were able to experience close proximity formations and aerial maneuvers at more than 4Gs with the seven Breitling jets as the team prepared for its latest stop on the 2016 American Tour. Afterwards, both ‘pilots’ shared stories and interests in speed and their respective skill sets in the air and on the racetrack.

Palmer and Fong return to Lime Rock Park Friday carrying momentum from last week’s podium performance at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park and look to claim valuable points in the close Pirelli World Challenge GT Championship battle.

The Lime Rock Grand Prix presented by Bentley will be streamed live on Friday’s GT race is set for 4:55pm ET and Saturday’s race for 4pm ET.
