GRANTSVILLE, Utah – Local driver David Askew of Salt Lake City paced the SprintX morning warmup session Sunday at Utah Motorsports Campus when he drove his No. 63 DXDT Racing Audi R8 Ultra GT3 to the fastest time of one minute, 54.907 seconds in preparation of Sunday afternoon Round 4 SprintX event.

Askew, co-driving with Englishman James Burke of Tooele, Utah, was unable to drive the No. 63 in Saturday’s 60-minute SprintX Round 3 due to his car’s gearbox issue after Burke led the first 17 laps of the race.

Veteran Kris Wilson of Littleton, Colo., set the quickest GTS SprintX warmup time with a 1:57.997 in the No. 07 Adobe Road Winery/LaSalle Solutions TRG-AMR Auston Martin Vantage GT4. Wilson will co-drive Sunday with Max Riddle of Vancouver, B.C., Canada in the 4 p.m. MDT Round 4 SprintX event.

Four-time Pirelli World Challenge series champion Lawson Aschenbach of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., was the quickest driver in the GTS warmup in his No. 10 Black Dog Speed Shop Chevrolet Camaro Z28 with a clocking of 1:59.128 Sunday morning. The GTS Round 15 competition is scheduled to begin at 11 am MDT Sunday.
