Kennesaw, GA – April 23, 2015 – GTSport Racing heads to Barber Motorsports Park for GTS Rounds 5 and 6 of the Pirelli World Challenge presented by Porsche on April 25-27, 2015.
Jack Baldwin, of Marietta, GA, captured two podium finishes, including a victory, at Barber Motorsports Park in 2014 after the GTSport Racing team completed a heroic full rebuild of his race car. Baldwin currently holds two track records at Barber Motorsports Park and seeks to end the longest podium drought of his Pirelli World Challenge career at a track that his No. 73 GTSport Racing Porsche Cayman S loves.
“I am very excited for the upcoming races at Barber Motorsports Park,” said Baldwin. “The GTSport Racing is very familiar with the track and I am sure they are going to provide me with a killer setup on my Porsche Cayman S. We had a great time at Barber last year with two very strong performances so I hope we will be able to run up front again this year.”
Buz McCall, of Boca Raton, FL, is coming off a fantastic race at the St. Petersburg Grand Prix where he earned the Invisible Class Clean Pass of the Race Award as well as the Sunoco Hard Charger award in Round 4. McCall scored two solid finishes at Barber Motorsports Park in 2014, including a top-fifteen finish in Race 2.
“Racing at one of the most beautiful race tracks in the USA is a blast,” said McCall. “While we are not sightseeing while driving you are aware of the great facilities and super race track layout. This track should be suited to our Porsche it remains to be seen how the super powerful Mustangs perform. We are focused on doing the best we can with the rule package we have been handed. Stay tuned…”
